Coulsdon Valley

Crossing Farthing Downs and Happy Valley there are several marked paths (tarmac, wooded, muddy, grassy) with 3 & 6 mile circular walks or you can roam freely through the stunning rolling hills and meadows. There are several entry points to start walking from The Fox or Harrow pubs to the car park at the end of Fox Lane or on Ditches Lane. The paths were very muddy and slippery where we walked around Happy Valley so I’d suggest walking boots (rather than trainers) and a sling for the little one. The path may look doable with a buggy from the car parks but as you profess it becomes clear that it really is only suitable for baby carriers. We saw loads of dog walkers whilst we were there so if you have a dog and baby then this would be a perfect walk. In the Spring and Summer this will be a walk I’ll be repeating to see the bluebells and wild flower meadows.
