Titsey Estate

Beautiful hilly (well – one big hill) woodland walk through the Titsey Estate. If parking at the top of Titsey Hill in the public car park you have a choice of a 2 or 4 mile (well sign posted) round route taking you down to the Titsey Estate where between May and September you can enjoy the tea house and walled gardens (opening hours 12:30-5pm). You can also book a guided tour of the hall itself in these months. Once at the estate, enjoy the stunning views over the estate taking in the variety of wildlife grazing around the estate. From there, take the path back up the hill behind the tea-room enjoying the views over Oxted and the Surrey Hills as you climb up to get back to the car park. If you do the walk from the top of the hill car park, it is recommended to use a sling.
An alternative is to start at the bottom (parking just before the start of the private road) and wander through the estate with your pram easily.
Walk Length, Duration and Available Routes
2 to 4 mile circular routes or if parking at the bottom then you can stroll to the estate/ tea rooms and back to the bottom car park.
Walk Location
Warlingham, CR6
Free parking just off The Ridge in the Titsey Hill Car Park or you could park at the bottom in Pitchfont Lane Car Park (RH8)
Pubs or Coffee Shops?
The Titsey Estate tea rooms would be a good option enroute in the summer (May to September) or you can easily walk to Botley Hill Farmhouse or The Sheep Shed from the top Titsey Car Park (under 5 minute walk)
Suitability of walk for buggies?
I’d opt for a sling if walking from the top car park but if going from the bottom it is perfect for a buggy as the walk around the estate is tarmac
Walk Type
Hilly wooded walk to get from the top car park to the estate but then flat and tarmac road
